Enigma is basically one person, Michael Cretu(Curly), and other contributing artists. Artists which include his wife Sandra Cretu, along with Andru Donalds, Ruth Ann, and Jens Gad. The year of 1990 is when Enigma appeared in record stores with the release of MCMXC a.d. Enigma gained notarity with their second release The Cross of Changes. Included on that album is the smash hit international single Return to Innocence. Each album Enigma releases is appropriately labeled E1,E2,E3,etc...Enigma's latest release was back in September 2003 with Voyageur.
Enigma records its albums from an island off the coast of Spain called Ibiza. Michael Cretu is originally from Romania, then he moved to Germany to pursue an education in music. Sandra(his wife) wanted to live in a warmer climate, thus Ibiza is their home.
